Perfect Party Hair for the Festive Season

24.11.2022

Tis the season for big, bouncy hair, braids and backcombing. Or alternatively if you prefer to wear your hair down, go for brilliant shine, sleek and neat styles finished with the perfect accessory: clips, hairbands, wraps or rhinestones.

If you can’t make your mind up then half up, half down could be perfect for you. So if you’re looking for some inspiration for your festive hair, then look no further at our Christmas hairstyles...

Polished and smooth

This look was seen on the Chanel catwalk for A/W 22 and although it looks simple the hair needs to be perfectly prepped and blowdried. In our pic Andrew used velcro rollers to give more volume and bounce before brushing into a side-parting and accessorising with an elegant clip.

To achieve perfect condition and shine for this look we recommend our Vegan Moisturising Hair Care Bundle containing Collinge & Co Moisturising Shampoo, Moisturising Conditioner and Hair Treat for your wash and care routine and Hair Moisturiser to both protect your hair and add shine for the blow-dry (Usual price £61.50, bundle price £46.00).

Dressed up pony tail

If you can’t choose between up and down then this style is the answer. Spray in Hair Moisturiser before blowdrying and then use a little Definer to smooth down any stray hairs. Divide the hair so that some of it can be brushed into a high ponytail and the front section is left out. Working from a centre parting sweep one half up to the ponytail and wrap it round. Secure with a grip. The remaining hair is left down and can be wanded, or straight, as you prefer.

For this look Andrew used Hair Moisturiser which hydrates, detangles and adds shine, and Definer a finishing gel serum for controlling frizz, smoothing split ends and adding shine.

Up Do Bob

You don’t have to have long hair to wear your hair up. This look is ideal for a bob and is a great party hairstyle. The vibe is relaxed and casual: it looks undone and effortless but at the same time glamorous. This is a failsafe technique that even works on days when your hair is not cooperating.

Blow dry using our Blow Dry Lotion which helps create volume and then braid the hair from the nape to the crown. You might like to use a little Invisible Dry Shampoo to add texture. Wrap and pin the hair allowing some hair to spike out. The hair at the front is centre parted and shouldn’t look too contrived. Tuck some hair behind the ears and allow some soft tendrils to fall. We accessorised with rhinestones along the parting.

Product Tips

Invisible Dry Shampoo – is not just a dry shampoo but also brilliant for putting up hair. It helps create texture so that the style holds together. Unlike other dry shampoos it is invisible and doesn’t leave a white residue.

Blow Dry Lotion – it is light and non-sticky, adds volume, shine and a light hold. Your hair will still look and feel gorgeous when you let your hair down.

Firm Hold Hair Spray – is non-sticky, long lasting and has a fabulous sandalwood fragrance.
