Collinge & Co Training Intersalon Competition 2023
02.05.2023
Well done to all of the apprentices that took part in the Collinge & Co Training Intersalon on 2 May 2023.
Every year apprentices from salons across Merseyside and the North West trained by Collinge & Co Training take part in our Intersalon skills competition. It is an opportunity for apprentices to plan and practice a creative hair up, and then compete in a timed demonstration of their skills. Judges look for apprentices' skills in handling and dressing hair, the creative effects and techniques used, and overall finished result.
Our judges this year were Helen Rooney owner of Rooney Ponton salon in West Kirby, Wirral and Gavin Blagborough, educator at Wella. Fantastic skill was shown by the apprentices, giving Helen and Gavin the tough job of awarding the winning places.
This year was the first year the competition was held at the impressive Black-E Arts & Community Centre on Great George Street, which provided a stunning space to showcase the apprentices work.
